At Kährs, sustainability is built into every floor.

We source wood responsibly with strict due-diligence, keeping illegal and controversial timber out of our supply chain. The wellbeing of the world’s forests is of great importance to Kährs and we support the responsible forestry development by prioritizing wood that meets the requirements set by FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council® license FSC-C019122) and/or PEFC (Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification license PEFC/05-35-153) chain of custody certification schemes.

Cleaner indoor air matters, too: our finishes and adhesives are engineered to reduce volatile organic compounds (VOCs), eliminate hazardous chemicals, and improve overall air quality—paired with responsible waste management.

We also conserve water across production and logistics by cutting consumption and implementing water-saving solutions, especially in water-stressed regions.

And we’re transparent about progress. We monitor, verify, and report our impacts, comply with EU REACH, and align our biodiversity actions with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
