Responsibility At Every Step

Kährs is committed to sustainability, fairness, and responsibility. We deliver safe, non-toxic flooring backed by transparent Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). We uphold ethical labor practices for our people and across our supply chain through training, audits, and chain-of-custody certifications. A dedicated Whistleblower Channel reinforces accountability as we work toward a responsible, sustainable future.

Responsibility For Our Customers

Kährs takes customer care seriously. Our low-emission floors meet strict chemical safety standards, helping you keep a safe, healthy home.

We design for everyday life and indoor air quality, with floors that last for decades and allow easy maintenance, repair, and renovation. To back that up, we offer 10 to 30 year warranties and publish clear Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). So you can see the impact behind each product. We’re moving toward 100% EPD coverage so every floor comes with verified, comparable data, making it easier to choose the right product and meet project requirements.

Learn more about our certifications to see how they protect indoor air, substantiate sustainability claims, and give you confidence in your purchase.

Responsibility For Our Own Workforce

We uphold ethical labor practices and a culture of respect, to provide fair working conditions. Our Human Rights Policy guides decisions across all sites and aligns with international standards. We back this up with regular monitoring and clear expectations for everyone. People get practical training through e-learning and workshops. And our intranet serves as a communication platform, ensuring all employees have access to important information and regular updates.

We offer wellness programs, medical check-ups, and strong occupational safety processes designed to prevent accidents. We’re equally committed to diversity and inclusion. Recruitment is fair and transparent, and discrimination or harassment has no place here.

We listen and act on feedback through reviews, surveys, and focus groups, and we maintain a confidential grievance process to resolve concerns quickly and fairly. The goal is simple: a safe, fair, and empowering workplace where every person can do their best and grow.

Responsibility For Workers In The Value Chain

Kährs is committed to fair labor and human rights across our supply chain. We set clear expectations through our Supplier Code of Conduct and verify them with regular self-assessments, on-site audits, and risk reviews. When issues arise, we require corrective actions, and, if needed, we end partnerships that don’t meet our standards. Kährs prioritizes internationally recognized certifications like FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council® license FSC-C019122) and PEFC (Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification license PEFC/05-35-153) to support fair working conditions and protect workers’ rights.

To strengthen oversight, we’ve introduced a supplier relationship management (SRM) system that helps us analyze performance, track follow-ups, and support continuous improvement. We also run an anonymous Whistleblower Channel for internal and external stakeholders to report concerns, promoting transparency and accountability. Ongoing engagement—training, dialogue, and shared action plans—helps us build a more ethical, sustainable value chain that respects people at every step.

Kährs' Contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The UN Global Goals, also known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by 2030. These 17 interconnected goals address global challenges including climate change, inequality, and environmental degradation. They provide a framework for businesses, governments, and individuals to work together towards a sustainable future, focusing on areas like clean energy, responsible consumption, life on land and below water, and climate action. By aligning our efforts with these goals, we contribute to building a better, more equitable world for future generations.
